From now on you can also listen to your favourite music in the kitchen. Forget that the hood is on and you are carrying on with your excellent work.
Elica has patented an innovative system of noise reduction called Elica Deep Silence (EDS3) that allows the decorative hood to function extremely silently, indeed up to being imperceptible at low speeds.
At an airflow of 500 m3/h, for example, the maximum noise level is 45 db/A – a reduction of more than 35% compared to traditional hoods! In fact, the difference made by the sound-absorbing performance of the new EDS3 system in comparison with the previous generation is like comparing an office environment with a lot of people talking away at the same time with a library where a few people are chatting quietly. 
A remarkable reduction in domestic noise pollution, opening up new possibilities for both the hood and the kitchen.
The first product that Elica will launch onto the market with this technology is called Space, followed by a complete range for the Elica and Elica Collection trademarks.

The EDS3 technology will then be conceded under license to all the industrial clients of the Elica group who intend inserting into their range products particularly efficient in terms of reduction of noise.
