Om at the SMAU with IBM

IBM chooses Elica for Milan’s SMAU fair.
Together with 5 important Italian brands, Elica sets an example of her collaboration with IBM and Fastnet in the development of innovative technological solutions.

Elica is one of 6 important Italian brands selected by IBM from its customers to highlight the development of innovative technical solutions.
Elica invests in technology to improve competitiveness and IBM has chosen the Fabriano-based industrial group, along with 5 other brands from amongst its customers in the medium-sized company sector, to be present at SMAU, the international fair for Information Communication Technology and Electronics.
As its key theme for the fair, taking place in Milan from 19th to 23rd October, IBM has chosen the development of innovation for small and medium-sized Italian companies and has called on several of them to represent a “case history”.
The pavilion set up by the Italian division of the American multinational is divided into six themed zones presenting solutions studied for small and medium-sized companies. Elica, Fastnet and IBM partner for all the IT services, is present with OM, a hood symbolic of the company’s high-level production range: “OM - red version” is on show in the “Company partnership” area.
For the other areas, each one referring to solutions proposed on the basis of specific customer requirements, IBM has chosen Todd’s, Comau of the Fiat Group, Saclŕ, TRE and Leaf – brands which, together with Elica, are considered the most representative in their respective sectors.
Combining high efficiency with a dazzlingly innovative look of geometric simplicity, OM is the result of the most highly advanced research in the fields of design and technology: a perfect example of the innovation IBM is illustrating, and a key feature for Elica itself in facing up to the challenges of the market.
