Chocolate hoods

A hood that’s good enough to eat!

Over the years Elica has used many different kinds of material to make its hoods: stainless steel, glass, aluminium… but now they’re branching out into new territory with the world’s first hood made completely out of chocolate!

This mouth-watering version of Elica’s Wall Carpet hood was specially constructed by award-winning master pastry-cook Denis Buosi for the Souvenir d’Italie event organised in Milan by Casa da Abitare magazine.

Wall Carpet was the first result of the partnership between the Fabriano company and famous Bang & Olufsen designer David Lewis, who for five years now has been creating stylish and sophisticated articles for the Elica Collection range, and its unique shape made it a perfect choice for this unique opportunity to become the first hood produced in delicious chocolate.

The exhibition ran from 13th to 16th April at the Milan Ciechi Institute in Via Vivaio and consisted of 23 exhibits, all of them special designer projects reproduced by ALESSI as representative “souvenirs” of Italy.
