Elica’s Evolution Luxerion line at the Shanghai Expo 2010

The Shanghai Expo 2010 makes for a prestigious international showcase for one of Elica’s most innovative products.
From 24th July to 6th August, in the Italian Pavilion set up as part of the Innovators’ Italy event, Elica is presenting its Evolution Luxerion line of air purifiers, selected as one of the most outstanding innovations to come from Italy, a country famous for  its exciting new ideas.
This prestigious recognition comes from the Ministry for Public Administration and Innovation, promoter of the initiative together with the Government General Commission for the Shanghai 2010 Expo.
The objective is to spotlight Italian technological excellence and favour institutional relationships with both Chinese and international professionals. Media partner for the event is the authoritative high-tech journal Wired which has created the Italianvalley.it portal featuring all the exciting items selected for Innovators’ Italy.
The Evolution Luxerion line selected for Shanghai consists of a series of multifunctional products developed by the Fabriano industrial Group, which this August celebrates 40 years of activity: the line’s integration of purification and illumination makes it possible for each single model to function not only an as elegant light source but also as an eliminator of pollution and pollens in the air.
Luxerion developed out of the company’s experience with Evolution, the compact system that encloses all airflow functions within a steel cylinder, which has been integrated with the special HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter specifically designed to provide air purification. Passing through the interior of the module, the air is completely cleansed and then restored to its original environment.
The various Evolution Luxerion models, including Pure Wave and the chromatically variable Pure Ola, can be activated either by remote control or by using the Magic Wand control rod, soft-touch technology that controls the speed of air purification.
