Best Workplace Europe 2009

Elica rides high in the chart of Europe’s 50 best companies
10 places higher for Elica’s second recognition in two years

It’s official - Elica is, even in a European context, the best Italian company to work for. The Fabriano firm, head company of the industrial group of the same name, world leader in the sector of cooker hoods for domestic use, is the only all-Italian company along with the Italian offices of three multinationals - in the “50 Best Large Workplaces in Europe” classification drawn up by the Great Place to Work Institute.

The names of the first 100 European companies, subdivided by size – Large and Small – into two charts, were made public several days ago during a ceremony that took place at the Congress Casino in Baden in Austria. The lists were then published in all the main European newspapers.

This is the second year running that Elica has achieved this recognition, matching the company’s success in the Great Place to Work Italy chart, which Elica obtained in 2008 and 2009.

In the 2009 European chart, the company has moved up to 29th place, 10 places ahead compared to last year.

The importance of this event can be judged from the fact that the selection of participating companies, and the classification of the best, is drawn up using questionnaires completed by the employees themselves, through a sample which faithfully reflects the spread of personnel over a variety of different categories of work

Elica’s presence and high placing for two years’ running in both charts – the Italian and European ones – only goes to confirm the constant, structured work which the company carries out in order to create a positive environment both at work and in the surrounding area.
